Daily + Weekly Drivers Hours Regulations - Basic drivers hours, EU Regs and domestic hours. Working time directive. Tachograph record keeping and obligations.
Digital Operation & Procedures - Siemens / Stoneridge or Actia - Log in + out, manual entries, mode switch operation and menu structure.
Vehicle & Driver Roadworthiness - Driver daily vehicle checks, benefits of planned vehicle maintenance schedules, Drivers responsibility + Graduated fixed penalties.
Safe Driving Theory - Fit for the Road - Safe & economic driving, Customer expectations - benefits of good driving practice. Causes and consequenses of road accidents. Drink drive awareness, drug drive awareness. rest, exercise and healthy eating.
O' Licence-Safe Loading-Hijack Risk - Types of operator licencing, application procedure and criteria for issue of licences, offences and penalties. Safe loading - DfT requirements, arrangements of loads, weight distribution, types of loads, load securing equipment, overloading. Hijack Awareness - Definition of hijack, why, when and where you may be targeted. Importance of confidentiality - what to do in the event of a hijack.
Weights & Dimensions - Traffic Regulations - Operators responsibilities, maximum dimensions, special types operations, overloading and overweight vehicles. Highway code, restricted roads, speed limits, parking and loading restrictions."
